MUSICGARAGE YOUTH TO CLOSE DEER VALLEY CONCERT SERIES SEP 1ST

NON-PROFIT MOUNTAIN TOWN MUSIC AND MUSICGARAGE.ORG PARTNER FOR YOUTH &  MUSIC

Park City, UT – As part of it’s music education component, Mountain Town Music, the Summit County non-profit organization that stages hundreds of concerts each year has partnered with the MusicGarage youth music performance programs, a part of the non-profit Utah Arts Alliance.

Mountain Town Music will have presented over 200 concerts in 2009-2010, most of which are free each year in Summit County.  One of these free concert series, sponsored by Frontier Community Bank are the Wednesday night Local Band concerts on the big stage at the Deer Valley Amphitheatre.

This Wednesday, September 1, the MusicGarage ROCKGARAGE kids will take the stage for s 35-minute set standing in the same spot where BB King, Buddy Guy, Al Green, Earth Wind and Fire and Bob Dylan and other greats have stood this summer. 

This summer MusicGarage youth acts such as power trio Advent Horizon, 16 year-old singer song-writer Jane Lyon, summer camp MetalGarage and now the RockGarage youth group will have performed in support of adult local bands at the free series.

The ROCKGARAGE kids play Wednesday September 1 at 5:15 pm, opening for Raydius featuring veteran saxman, John Flanders.  They will perform the music of Cheryl Crow, Led Zeppelin, Saosin, Evanessence, Marilyn Manson, Johnny Cash, David Bowie, The Eurythmics and more.
